On the night of February 7, Russia launched a massive attack against Ukraine, striking our energy system, particularly in the west of the country. Communities were left without heating and electricity, and the operation of nuclear power plant units was disrupted.

Volyn, Ivano-Frankivsk, Lviv, Kyiv, Kharkiv, and Rivne regions were attacked. In Rivne, a multi-storey residential building was damaged. In the Vinnytsia region, drones struck the administrative building of an agricultural college.

Russia must be deprived of the ability to terrorise Ukraine through cold and energy. This requires additional missiles for air defence systems, increased sanctions pressure on Russia, restrictions against Rosatom, and accountability for aggression within the IAEA.
