From May 19 to 25, 2025, Ukraine is marking the National Barrier-Free Week as part of the Strategy for Creating a Barrier-Free Space in Ukraine, an initiative of the First Lady of Ukraine, Olena Zelenska.
The Embassy of Ukraine in the Kingdom of Thailand is proud to join this important initiative.
Throughout the week, we will be talking about a society that is inclusive and convenient for everyone: people with disabilities, the elderly, parents with children, individuals with temporary or permanent mobility limitations, and those facing barriers in communication, employment, education, and access to information.
Barrier-free access is not about special treatment — it is about equal opportunities for all. It means that everyone has the right and the ability to learn, work, move, access online services, and participate in decision-making processes. It is about every person having the right to be an active member of society.
