On 12th of June, 2020 the Government of Ukraine has lifted temporary restrictions for entry of foreign citizens and stateless persons into the territory of Ukraine that have been implemented three months ago in order to prevent the spread of COVID-19.
Citizens of COVID-19 low-risk countries (under 40 new cases per 100 000 persons in a day) or those foreign nationals staying in such countries 14 days immediately before entering Ukraine are exempt from quarantine measures but are required to present a valid insurance policy at the border check point.
Medical insurance certificate must be issued by an insurance company registered in Ukraine or an international insurance company which operates a representative office in Ukraine or has a contractual relationship with a partner company in Ukraine. Insurance policy should cover costs related to COVID-19 treatment, observation, and be valid for the duration of your stay in Ukraine.
Currently the Kingdom of Thailand, Lao People’s Democratic Republic as well as the Republic of the Union of Myanmar are considered COVID-19 low-risk countries. List of COVID-19 low-risk countries is reviewed by the Ministry of Health of Ukraine every three days.
Commercial international passenger services to and from Ukraine gradually resume since June 15th, 2020.
