During the meeting the Parties expressed their satisfaction with high dynamics of growth of bilateral trade between the two countries that made Thailand the major trade partner of Ukraine in the Southeast Asia.
Taking into account that the major part of the Ukraine’s exports to the Kingdom consists of the agricultural products Ambassador informed the leaderships of the TCC about highly developed industrial, scientific and technical potential of Ukraine, outlining the prospects of bilateral cooperation in such areas as energy, transport infrastructure, aerospace and aircraft technologies, IT-development, etc.
Discussing the perspectives of bilateral cooperation in the sphere of investments, Ambassador informed the Thai Partners on the recent creation by the Government of Ukraine of the Investment promotion Office tasked with providing assistance and support to the implementation of foreign investment projects. Andrii Beshta also shared the list of nearly 300 Ukrainian enterprises to be privatized in the course of 2016-2017 years.
The Parties stressed the importance of organizing of the Ukrainian-Thai Business Forum at the Chamber of Commerce of Thailand in the year of 2017 as one of the most practical ways of establishing contacts and mutually beneficial cooperation between Ukraine’s and Thai businesses.
