During the exchange of views on threats to national security of both states Ambassador informed General Thawip Netniyom about the Russian aggression against Ukraine, including temporary occupation of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea and direct military intervention in Donbas, as well as sabotage by the Russian Federation of implementation of its commitments under the Minsk agreements.

In this regard Andrii Beshta expressed high appreciation for the principled position of the Kingdom of Thailand in support of the territorial integrity of Ukraine.

Ambassador and Secretary-General also discussed further steps aimed at strengthening the cooperation  between both countries in different areas, including the upcoming commemoration in 2017 of the 25th anniversary of establishment of diplomatic relations between Ukraine and the Kingdom of Thailand.
