The Government of Ukraine has made a decision to lift temporary restrictions on entry of foreigners and stateless persons to Ukraine. The measure will apply from September 28, 2020 onward.
Foreigners and stateless persons may cross the Ukrainian entry border provided that they possess an insurance document (letter, certificate) issued by an insurance company registered in Ukraine or a foreign insurance company with representative office in Ukraine. Insurance policy should cover expenses for COVID-19 treatment and be valid for the whole period of stay in Ukraine.
The requirement to present an insurance policy (letter, certificate) does not apply, in particular, to the following categories of persons:
- foreigners and stateless persons that are permanent residents of Ukraine;
- asylum-seekers and persons in need of additional assistance;
- members of the diplomatic and consular corps of foreign states in Ukraine, representative offices of international missions, organizations accredited in Ukraine, including their spouses and children.
Self-isolation requirement does not apply to visitors arriving from the Thailand, Myanmar and Laos as COVID-19 low-risk countries. List of these countries is regularly reviewed by the Ministry of Health of Ukraine (updated information https://moz.gov.ua/uploads/5/26458-021020.pdf )
