On the occasion of the 35th Anniversary of Ukraine's Independence, the Embassy of Ukraine in the Kingdom of Thailand is pleased to present the Second Ukrainian Film Festival in Thailand, which will take place at the Bangkok Art and Culture Centre (BACC) on 5-6 August 2026.

The Festival will feature a selection of Ukrainian films representing different genres, including biographical drama, historical and family adventure, and contemporary documentary. Through these films, audiences will have an opportunity to discover more about Ukraine's culture, history, resilience, and the experiences of the Ukrainian people today.

Programme:

Wednesday, 5 August

4:00 p.m.Malevych (2025) – a biographical drama about the life and artistic journey of the renowned Ukrainian avant-garde artist Kazymyr Malevych.

6:00 p.m.The Underground Garden (2026) – a documentary about a children's art studio operating in a Kharkiv bomb shelter and preparing for its first international exhibition.

Thursday, 6 August

3:00 p.m.The Stronghold (2017) – a family fantasy adventure inspired by the legends and heroes of Kyivan Rus'.

6:00 p.m.War Through the Eyes of Animals (2025) – an anthology of short films based on real stories of animals living during wartime, created with the participation of Oscar-winning actor Sean Penn.
