The Embassy of Ukraine in the Kingdom of Thailand is proud to announce the successful opening of the art exhibition "Finding Light in Darkness" on 22 August 2024 at the Bangkok Art and Culture Centre. The event was dedicated to the 33rd anniversary of Ukraine's Independence Day and featured with the opening remarks by Mr. Pavlo Orel, Chargé d'affaires of Ukraine in Thailand. The Ukrainian diplomat stressed the determination of our nation that continues its fight against Russian full-scale invasion of Ukraine a third year in a row.

The event was attended by the representatives of the Thai government, academic circles, diplomatic corps accredited in Thailand, journalists, as well as by members of the Ukrainian community.

We were particularlly delighted to have one of the Ukrainian artists, Oleksiy Chebykin, in attendance. He personally showcased his exquisite artworks, which has received praise worldwide. The Embassy of Ukraine also extends its sincere gratitude to the Ukrainian artists Kateryna Prokopenko and Yulia Tveritina (Pictoric Ilustraitors Club) who also contributed their works to the above-mentioned exhibition.

This meaningful event was carried out with a support of Bangkok Metropolitan Administration, the Governor of Bangkok Mr. Chadchart Sittipunt, members of the Ukrainian community in Thailand and the Ukrainian diplomatic spouses Association, in particular Natalka Beshta.
