For the ninth consecutive year, the UNITERS (UNITED VOLUNTEERS) Foundation has been holding the "Holidays without Dad" campaign - an international charity campaign to collect funds and purchase gifts for the children of the Defenders of Ukraine. For this purpose, hundreds of the Ukrainian volunteers from all over the world united their efforts once a year, at Christmas, jointly to present a symbolic gift to the children of the Ukrainian Heroes and in this way to honour the memory of those who will never return home from war.

Today's situation dictates different rules.

Currently, children of war are all children of Ukraine. According to official data, there are 4.5 million of them. Bombings, dark shelters, lack of power at home, at school, in kindergarten, dark corridors, streets and entrances. This is now the reality of the Ukrainian children. All children are afraid of darkness! For this reason the campaign organizers want to present to the children a symbolic flashlight, reminding that they are not alone in this darkness and the whole world is together with them!
