On July 30, Minister for Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Kostyantyn Gryshchenko had a telephone conversation with Minister of Foreign Affairs of Poland Radoslaw Sikorski at the initiative of the Polish side.
During the conversation, Radoslaw Sikorski offered his condolences on the occasion of death of Ukrainian citizens in today’s minivan accident that occurred near the Polish city of Lodz. The Foreign Minister of Poland said that the Polish people shares a deep sense of sorrow and pain of the families of victims of the tragedy. According to Radoslaw Sikorski, the Polish side used all available mechanisms to provide assistance to our fellow citizens.
For his part, Kostyantyn Gryshchenko thanked his Polish colleague for the sincere condolences and words of support that confirmed the traditionally warm and friendly relations between the two countries and peoples. Minister Gryshchenko also informed Minister Sikorski on the measures taken by the Ukrainian side at the instruction of the President of Ukraine to provide a comprehensive assistance, including that consular, to the families of the Ukrainians killed.
