During the meeting held on July 6, 2016 both sides discussed current state of relations between Ukraine and the Kingdom of Thailand and perspectives of further strengthening of cooperation in different areas, including in military and defence. Ambassador reiterated the invitation by the Minister of Defence of Ukraine to General Prawit Wongsuwan to pay a visit to Ukraine this year.

Andrii Beshta also informed the Thai Side about the consequences of Russian aggression against Ukraine that started in February 2014 with illegal occupation of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea and the city of Sevastopol and then continued with military intervention in the eastern region of Donbas.
